Traveling Soccer
We are the traveling soccer arm of VAA. It's our mission to provide a high-quality soccer program at all levels for the youth of our community.
We are a volunteer-based club, welcoming players as young as 7 years old who are interested in the great sport of soccer. For young players, our primary goal is development, to prepare them for competitive teams in the older age groups later on. We emphasize teamwork, work ethic, and good sportsmanship on and off the field. As the primary feeder program to Apple Valley High School, which has won more state soccer championships than any other school in Minnesota history, we are committed to developing the best players possible who will retain a love of the sport over the long term. We hope to welcome your child onto one of our teams during an upcoming season!
Valley United Soccer Club is open to any competitive soccer player from the ages of under 9 (U9) to under 19 (U19) for both boys and girls. We run two seasons -- Fall and Summer; here are more details on each:
FALL 2010 SEASON
As the shortest of our two seasons, the Fall is a great time to try traveling soccer for new players!
- For ages U9-U12, boys and girls
- Online registration is open from June 1-July 23
- Teams will be formed in early August; no tryout is required
- Fees: $75.00 total
- Season: Six-week season from Sept. 10-Oct. 10. All games are held on weekends; practices begin in mid-August.
SUMMER 2011 SEASON
The Summer season is the primary season for traveling soccer and encompasses opportunities for play and practice throughout the winter as well.
- For ages U9-U19, boys and girls
- Online registration opens June 1 and remains open through team formation
- Placement is by tryout; U11+ tryouts held July 31-Aug. 1; U9/10 tryouts held in late October
- Fees: $250 for U11+, $200 for U9/10; Early-Bird Discount of $25 until June 11
- Uniform: $75, when needed (2-3 year uniform cycle)
- Team Fees: Vary from approx. $75 to $150, depending on optional weekend tournaments, indoor practices/play, and other items chosen by the team.
- Season: Ten-week season from early May to mid-July; all games are held on weekdays (M/W or Tu/Th); practices begin indoors in March. Optional professional indoor training is offered to all players in November-December at no extra cost.
